Entry#27

I enjoyed this section of The Lottery because it helped me better understand everything going on in the book. I got a better understanding of what the elite group "The Shadow Council" was and what they did to make people fear them. I was highly amused by the authors creativity that inspired them to write what the pranks shadow council would be pulling off. An example was putting the banner on top of the school. The characters are also very interesting you can really relate them to high school students. There are the outsiders, the popular kids, the jocks, the band kids and many other groups that you do see in the high school. By making the characters seem realistic it makes the idea of this all happening at IDCI seem almost possible. I am really enjoying the book so far because I can relate to it in many ways. I hope that the book will continue to hold my interest.
